Editor’s Picks: 9 New Products We Love

Don’t leave yourself off your holiday shopping list this season! Take a look at nine new products you’ll love this winter, as selected by the aspire design and home editors.

Lagoon wallcoverings | Or.nami
Inspired by Venetian lagoons, this collection features delicate glimmers of stylized flora which emerge like remnants of a dream: impalpable, dreamlike and at the same time real, they light up equally delicate chromatic depths with delicate visual suggestions in ton sur ton nuances.

Fearless Eyes tiles | BalineumJean-Philippe Demeyer
This assortment of 15 tiles draws from Demeyer’s vast collection of eye motifs, which began with a chance encounter on holiday in Capri more than a decade ago. There, Demeyer was captivated by eyes he spotted on a Fendi handbag. Now a selection of those same motifs has been meticulously recreated onto the Fearless Eyes tile collection — so called because “the eye is a symbol against evil,” says Demeyer.

Ouverture sofa | Poltrona Frau
Poltrona Frau has added a new re-introduction to its line of stylish offerings. Originally designed forty years ago by Pierluigi Cerri in 1982, the Ouverture sofa is a Brutalist icon that juxtaposes its industrial-style structure with the ample softness of its cushions. The updated version reflects the brand’s innovative technological strides and fine craftsmanship of leather and other materials.

Heretofore Sconce | Refractory
The Heretofore Sconce is a substantial trough of cast bronze with a hand chiseled texture in its interior finished with our Muslin white patina, rubbed back to reveal an intricate web of natural bronze highlights. An inverted cast bronze vessel floats in the center casting indirect light off of the textured trough.

Marble tables | Dooq
Born in Portugal, Dooq is a design company dedicated to celebrating the luxury of living, by creating designs that stimulate the senses. Celebrating a new invented reality, these marble tables feature smooth and rough surfaces contrasting with one another, giving way to a new approach in shape and balance.

Cuerda Slipper Chair | Laura Kirar for McGuire
Drawing inspiration from a life layered by two influences – urban modernity and the natural world – the new Laura Kirar for McGuire collection plays on the juxtaposition of being immersed in the world’s most architecturally innovative cities as well as the solitary experience of nature’s desert formations, tangled jungle rooftops, ancient pyramids, excavated treasures, and more.

Rubinne Side Table | OKA
Rubinne is cleverly designed to draw attention with its decorative optical illusion-style facade. It appears to be seamless, with its handle-less finish that hides versatile storage space inside its pine wood paneling. The Washed Gray exterior has two doors, split down the middle that open with a push-and-release mechanism.

Amplitude and Copernica collections | Mavisten Edition
Offering a range of lighting inspired by the California sunset, Mavisten Edition’s mission is to bring the warm glow of Golden Hour into homes across the globe. The stylish shape of Amplitude (left) is inspired by the old acoustic loudspeakers and nostalgic radio light bulbs. The colored glass transforms the light as if the bulbs were embers seen through the glow of the setting sun. Named after the astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, the Copernica collection (right) showcases a brass ring that orbits the warm glow of the nostalgic filament light bulb.

Mixed Signals wallpaper | Thatcher
Positive and negative shapes are carefully cut from graph paper and arranged in a flowing, balanced geometric design in this paper from Thatcher.
