It all happened during a rainy Friday lunch. The streets glistened from the downpour, and umbrellas dotted the sidewalks like a sea of black and gray mushrooms. Inside the cozy bistro, Pastis, amidst the warm chatter and clinking of cutlery, two old friends reunited and conceptualized “The Ticking Tent” out of a need to turn the passion of the hunt into a premier shopping destination rooted in the art of discovery.

The Ticking Tent is set to return for its second edition on November 2, 2024, at Industria Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Founded by Christina Juarez and Benjamin Reynaert, this curated shopping event brings together over 40 vendors offering a selection of decorative items, artisan goods, and antiques. The day-long market celebrates the joy of discovery and supports talented makers and bespoke brands. Special features include a Benjamin Moore bouquet bar by Robert Rufino and Carolyn Englefield, a unique lampshade installation by Vaughan and so much more.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., starting with an Early Bird shopping session that includes breakfast, sponsored by Currey and Company, and general admission slots throughout the day. Vendors such as Casa Branca, The Huntress, Bunny Williams Home, and Ellen Robinson Studio will be present, making it an unmissable opportunity for design enthusiasts and collectors to find unique home accessories and objects.
