The Dunlin, Auberge Resorts Collection, is a serene coastal retreat nestled along the Kiawah River on Johns Island, South Carolina. Just 20 miles from Charleston, this 72-room resort offers a tranquil escape amidst moss-draped oaks and expansive marshlands.


Designed by architect Robert Glazier and interior designer Amanda Lindroth, the resort features cottage-style accommodations with airy porches and Southern-inspired interiors. Guests can indulge in Southern comfort cuisine at Linnette’s, unwind at the Aster Spa, and explore 20 miles of nature trails and riverfront activities like kayaking and fly fishing. The Dunlin also offers unique experiences such as farm visits and oyster shucking.

Robert C. Glazier is a distinguished architect with nearly 30 years of experience in hospitality design. He specializes in luxury destination resorts, mixed-use urban hotels, and custom residential projects. His work has garnered national and international recognition for its unique responses to local architectural traditions and natural site features. Glazier has completed numerous projects worldwide, including in the U.S., Central America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, for leading hotel developers such as Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, and St. Regis. His designs have been consistently listed as category leaders in international travel publications, and three of his projects have received the Urban Land Institute’s Award of Excellence. Glazier has also contributed to several books on hospitality design and has been a guest speaker at the Urban Land Institute and Cornell University.
