The Seagate Hotel & Spa
DELRAY, FL
Architecture: Randall Stofft Architects
Design: Vanessa Watts & Erika Dray | Watts & Dray
The Seagate Hotel is the grand dame of Delray, Florida, and in thinking about her renovation, Watts & Dray used this as the principal design pillar. With that in mind, the design team set out to respect the building’s Colonial Revival architecture, defined by a Dutch influence, and to honor the casual cool of Delray itself.

This combination of factors led to a space composed of understated luxurious elements and materials, in a calm beachy palette and populated by subtle nods to Dutch detailing. This is all topped off by a world-class art collection in both the guestrooms and public areas.

From the Designers | Ultimately, the goal was to create the vibe of an incredibly composed and well-appointed residence by the sea, complete with all the comforts of home. Our studio mantra is that hotels can only be great if they feel inviting. To achieve this, we spend considerable time on the choreography of the guest’s first impression.
