Anything Glows: 12 Lighting Designs We Love

Fanciful lighting embraces the season with sharp angles, stacked cubes and soft edges.

Pyrion |  Shawn Henderson & Rupp Studio
Each piece in the PYRION collection takes the shape of a refined, architectural pyramid. The surface is finished using a specialized liquid spray metal technique, then hand-polished to resemble the rich patina and texture of cast metal. The result is a lighting object that feels both ancient and forward-thinking – minimal, yet deeply expressive.

Pòta! pendant | Catellani & Smith
In the Pòta! series, light is the focal element around which slender, voluminous yet delicate structures take shape, and in which the lighting units are spread to create a contrasting interplay between order and disorder.

Loquat Pendant Light | Item: Enso
A hand-patinated metal ceiling plate and surround is paired with a mustard yellow silk body adorned with a hand-painted floral motif.

Gami Collection | Virginia Sin
The Gami Collection is a study in transformation — where the fluid precision of paper folding meets the weight and resistance of clay. Inspired by the Japanese art of origami, each piece in the collection is shaped from a single sheet of clay, embracing the material’s natural tendencies while challenging its limitations. The Ravine Collection | Post Company x Idaho Wood
With the Ravine Collection – named for Brooklyn’s last remaining forest, the Ravine in Prospect Park – Post Company sought to elevate the inherent beauty and versatility of an often-overlooked material. The core collection consists of a table lamp and flush mount with several size and finish options. Pictured: Flushmount Tall Cedar, Yakisugi Lampp, Flushmount Douglas Fir

MAP | Lodes
Developed in collaboration with the Berlin-based design studio GECKELER MICHELS, MAP strikes a balance between dynamic aesthetics and advanced lighting performance. The distinctive graphic feature of the design is a fabric tape, stretched between the various modules, which powers the entire system, creating endless compositional possibilities.

Cleat wall light | Original BTC
With a sculptural form inspired by sailing cleats, the Cleat wall light pairs industrial precision with subtle nautical references. Its cast bronze body houses a dimmable LED light source, producing a soft, halo-like glow on a low setting and bright, functional light when turned up fully.

Mina Alabaster Accent Rechargeable Table Lamp | Visual Comfort
The Mina series by Sean Lavin features an elegant sphere in Alabaster. This beautiful floating orb is laser-etched and further illuminated by a powerful downward-firing LED hidden within the socket. Although smaller in diameter, the Mina brilliantly provides a bounty of task light onto surfaces below.

Carambola Table Lamp | Item: Enso
In this sculptural statement light, an all-sided linked ceramic form with a hand-patinated metal base is softened by a washi paper diffuser.

Jura Floor Lamp | Ah Um Design Studio
This resolute lighting piece features a one-of-one handmade resin lampshade by multimedia artist Laura Barr-Jones.

Stria 3 sconce | Virginia Sin
A sculptural study in tension and rhythm, the Stria 3 Sconce takes inspiration from the ancient, cross-cultural practice of weaving, where quiet poetry emerges through repetition. Hand-placed ceramic strips form a delicate lattice of light and shadow, inviting warmth and dimension to your walls.

Limited edition Blossom Portable Lamp | Original BTC x Fabian Freytag
Fabian Freytag was tapped to reimagine Original BTC’s beloved Blossom portable lamp, debuting a limited-edition piece that pairs a bold black-and-white hydro-dipped base with a vibrant green metallic stem. The result is a theatrical yet refined design that perfectly merges Fabian’s avant-garde aesthetic with Original BTC’s legacy of English craftsmanship.
