ASPIRE Archetype Glenn Gissler Shares His Fave Fireplace Accessories

Glenn Gissler opened his firm in 1987 and has been creating enduring residential environments ever since. Gissler, inspired by how interior design impacts people’s lives, notes, “I still describe myself as a student of all things design, art and lifestyle.” His need to exceed clients’ expectations provides focus for his insatiable curiosity.

For the ASPIRE DESIGN AND HOME fall issue, we talked to Gissler about his favorite fireplace accessories, as we close in on cool autumn months.

Pair of Art Deco Stools | “These stools provide a great place to sit while tending to the fire, and they are beautiful enough as chic sculptural forms. They also add additional seating when the room gets full!”

Miroir Froissé by Mathias Kiss | “Brings visual excitement over the fireplace reflecting everything else in the room in a dynamic way that brings visual movement above the mantel that is like the moving flames in a fireplace.”

Brass and Wrought Iron Fire Screen | “A blazing fire will look great through this mighty artisanal fire screen, and the fireplace will not look empty when not in use.”

Large Patinated Steel Plate Brutalist Fire Pit or Log Holder | “OMG! What an amazing way to store logs! This accessory looks great both with, and without, logs.”
