Thanks to premier showrooms BoConcept, Natuzzi and Fiandre along with the fantastic metro area design community, ASPIRE DESIGN TOUR: NoMad was a terrific success. Industry professionals gathered in the historic Madison Square North district, home to leading luxury home furnishings showrooms, to connect and experience a day of ASPIRE DESIGN AND HOME events.
Our first stop was BoConcept, where Keita Turner lead a lively discussion about layering luxury in limited spaces with fellow interior designers Fawn Galli, Ghislaine Viñas and Alan Tanksley. Lots of laughs and insight were shared from true talent, amidst BoConcept’s fabulous furnishings and décor.
Next stop on the Tour: Natuzzi’s First Augmented Showroom, where we had the opportunity to experience their virtual reality design program firsthand. The newly installed technology allows designers and customers unfettered virtual access to colors, configurations, sizes, finishes and materials that might not be available for viewing in stores.
We closed the day at Fiandre with a candid and inspirational conversation among talented industry trailblazers Michele Dopp, Peti Lau, Alexis Varbero and Tamara Stephenson, exploring the rise and role of women in design today. Surrounded by exquisite slabs of stone and architectural surfaces, we ended Design Tour NoMad motivated and sated.
