We met our senior year of design school at FIT.
How long have you been in business together?
We started Carrier and Company following the birth of our son, Jack, 18 years ago.

Jesse: Morning.
Mara: Nocturnal.

Jesse: Phone calls.

Jesse: Neat and organized.
Mara: Neat… but with a bit of creative clutter.

Jesse: Social butterfly.

My favorite period in design is…
Our favorite period in design is now because there is so much freedom and design expression. We get to do layered homes rooted in tradition, and also get to curate a collection of contemporary makers.

We are inspired by art and antiques.
