Very early on in life, Gabriela Eisenhart understood that the most important part of interior design was how it made her feel. She proved this theory true time and time again by endlessly arranging and rearranging furniture in her childhood home — her goal was always to feel better. Gabriela graduated college with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in Film and Video Production. After graduating in 2006, she worked in the film industry for several years before coming to the realization that it wasn’t her passion — but she knew what was. Gabriela reacquainted herself with interior design, pouring everything into the design of her new home in the Candler Park neighborhood of Atlanta. Once complete, it caught the attention of everyone who knew her (and many who didn’t), which was the validation she needed to pursue a career in interior design with gusto. In 2012, she founded her first studio, Gabriela Eisenhart Interiors. Then, in 2016, in an effort to expand her footprint, she joined forces with a Los Angeles-based interior designer to co-found WAKE + LOOM. Fast forward to 2023, and after more than a decade of entrepreneurship, she opened the doors to her third studio, Silo Studios, which she named for her two sons. Since then, with the support of her all-woman team, Gabriela has transformed homes in Atlanta and beyond, making them feel good to those who inhabit them while infusing the coveted Mediterranean style into the design. Andrew Joseph: What inspired you to become a designer?
Gabriela Eisenhart: I fell into the business organically. I’ve always been hypersensitive to my environment and loved how manipulating a space transformed my well-being and daily life. On install days, you’ll often find me walking in and out of rooms at my projects. If I step into a room and nothing jumps out at me, then I know we’ve created a successful, happy place. Good design is all about setting the stage for living life to the fullest and making memories that really stick.
AJ: How do you stay creative and inspired?
GE: As a business owner and mom of budding teens, finding time for myself is a challenge. I need those moments where I’m free from obligations to really live, explore, and be curious. It’s in those quiet moments that inspiration strikes and ideas flow effortlessly.

Cozy and modern, this living room features natural wood tables that provide a warm focal point that complements the soft, neutral tones of the space.
AJ: What is your favorite aspect of your job?
GE: I love the power of transformation and problem-solving. Our clients’ stories fuel my creativity, and I strive to make their homes a true reflection of their lives. Crafting spaces that allow our clients to live more intentionally is what I love most.
AJ: How do you stay organized while working on multiple projects?
GE: If you asked my team, they’d tell you I have two phrases I repeat constantly: “Trust the process” and “leave no stone unturned!” Process is key in our business. We have a process that we adhere to rigorously—it helps us avoid human error. With about 20 projects in rotation at any given time, mostly involving construction, attention to process and detail is essential.

A refreshing twist on the classic black and white color scheme, intricate patterned elevates this bathroom far beyond the typical monochromatic space.
AJ: Best advice you’d give your teenage self?
GE: Slow your roll, be patient, and trust your intuition. I’ve always been someone who moves at lightning speed, getting things done efficiently. But I’ve come to realize that sometimes, giving life a bit more breathing room is where the real magic happens.
