Andrew Joseph: What is something you hope to see trending in design in the future?
Helen Bergin: Personality and an emphasis on artisanal design and fabulous art! Even/especially if you want a minimal feel, the focus should be on one-of-a-kind pieces.

AJ: If you could live in any home in a movie or television series, what would it be?
HB: Anything designed by Adam Stockhausen, but The Grand Budapest Hotel probably takes the cake.

AJ: What’s a guilty pleasure you have?
HB: Bubble baths, it always puzzles me when clients aren’t bath people!

AJ: If you weren’t a designer, you’d be a ….?
HB: Therapist because let’s face it that’s half of our job anyways.

AJ: What are three words to describe where you live?
HB: A tropical paradise.

AJ: What’s your design pet peeve?
HB: Leaning towards themes or trends, follow your gut and what you love.

AJ: How would you describe your personal style?
HB: Playful and inviting, my goal is to make you want to stay for hours.

AJ: What would your dream project or dream client be right now?
HB: A client that isn’t afraid to try new ideas.
