Andrew Joseph: Describe your design style as if you were explaining it to someone who cannot see.
Robert Ventolo: My Style is European-based and versatile. Creating from my foundation of European traditionalism, I am drawn to modern minimalism and art deco design styles as well. I also enjoy designing around art, as art enhances designed spaces. I really like to understand the client’s needs and interests when creating for them.

AJ: What is something you hope to see trending in design in the future?
RV: Sustainability is what I hope to see trending in design in the future. I think it is important to think of the environment and our future generations. As designers, we have the unique ability to create a client’s dream space while reducing our negative impact on the environment by using sustainable design practices.

AJ: How would you define your work in three words?
RV: Comfortable, personal, unique

AJ: Which room in the house do you find yourself working from the most? Why? How does this inform your thoughts about architecture?
RV: I never work from home. My office is 2 blocks from my apartment. I like my home to be peaceful and away from technology. I think about architecture in the early morning when I am surrounded by my books.
