Eat and Be Merry: Between the Bread

BTB Shot 4 Between the Bread, a fresh, casual eatery in NYC, opened its newest location in West Chelsea’s Terminal Warehouse Building on 27th Street. The shop features rustic elements originally from the Terminal Warehouse with added flair from Between the Bread, including recycled metal chairs, wooden panels, exposed brick, and a neon sign that reads, “You have impeccable taste.”

The Terminal Warehouse is symbolic of the story of the eatery: In 1979, Ricky Eisen started Between the Bread, and since then, it has become one of NYC’s most iconic catering and event companies. Last year, her son, Jon Eisen, took over the retail operations and has opened two eateries within a year boasting a millennial atmosphere – from the health-conscious food to the playlist and decor.

A historic site itself, the Terminal Warehouse used to be a shipping terminal. It then turned into a nightclub known as The Tunnel, and today, it is a rejuvenated space for new retail and food vendors. The venue now houses Between the Bread, La Colombe, L’Oreal, Uber and more, making it a true millennial hotspot.
