Adorned & Obsessed: Jewelry Worth Fixating Over

This holiday season, there’s no end in sight to the amount of eye-popping, bold statement jewelry twinkling from dazzling window displays, holiday pop-ups, and trunk shows galore — many catering to those who’ve left shopping for their significant other until now. Enter Kimberly Ginger Fine Jewelry — a bespoke brand that has seemingly flown under the radar. And we’re not exactly sure why.

Owned and run by its namesake designer, Kimberly Ginger, each architectural and wearable design spans a variety of silhouettes and features an exquisite attention to detail. The eponymous brand offers a thoughtfully curated selection of timeless staples, spanning rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings. The most scene-stealing aspect about each piece lies in the unexpected subtlety it conveys. The Etruscan Pendant, by way of illustration, is at once iconic with its old-world appeal — a vibrant blue lapis takes center stage, set against a soft, sculptural gold surround and gracefully suspended from a handcrafted 18k yellow gold chain — yet remains quiet in its simplicity of form. Just as beautifully nuanced, the Solitaire Diamond Whisper Bangle is showstopping yet effortlessly restrained. The designer’s Emerald Etruscan Earrings with their spectacular oval-cut emerald centers, alternatively, sparkle for attention. What they all share is a radiance and elegance that is not only hard to create, but challenging to articulate — again and again.

Take Ginger’s Overlapping Studs, for example. While slight in nature, these small curved gold disc earrings, accented with brilliant bezel-set diamonds, offer high impact yet are petite in scale. Likewise, the Split Line Ruby Pendant, crafted in solid 18K gold, showcases natural, hand-set rubies set against a brushed gold finish — beautifully transforming a minimalist design into something that is quite commanding. Thoughtful restraint sits at the heart of the collection, including in the Pavé Waverly Hoops, which remarkably feature 96 diamonds in each hoop.

Regardless of one’s inclination, these enduring essentials are readily available. Ginger also collaborates closely with jewelry lovers to create bespoke pieces from her studio in Manhattan’s Diamond District.
