The Lake Room – Tuxedo Park

The room shown is situated in the Gilded Age resort enclave of Tuxedo Park, NY, and overlooks Tuxedo Lake. Tuxedo Park is the birthplace of Dorothy Draper an Interior Design Icon as well as the home of American author Emily Post. The home belongs to a family who also lives and works in New York City and who are collectors of esteemed Hudson River School paintings. The room was designed, executed and staged by Marina Case of The Red Shutters in Warwick, NY.

The wallpaper is by Phillip Jeffries (Manila Hemp in Grass Green). The Sheridan Daybed is by Tobi Fairly for CR Laine, covered in Thibaut’s Kenley Stripe. The slipper chairs are Thibaut’s Richmond Chairs covered in Schumacher’s Antique Strie Velvet Grass fabric. The round ottoman is by Wesley Hall covered in Duralee vinyl. The Newport Ottomans are by Kravet. The silk carpet Khotan-styled carpet is provided by the Kimball Collection. Over the Daybed is Williamsburg’s Governors Palace Mirror by Global Views. The fireplace mantel and surround is by Chesney’s. The Lamps are by Visual Comfort. The side tables are by Global Views.
