Steps from Central Park on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, a new era is unfolding at the historic Chopard Mansion. The five-story, Beaux-Arts townhouse that was constructed circa 1884 has been reborn as Maison d’Artiste, a Lalique flagship space designed as a destination where clients, interior designers and architects can experience the full scope of Lalique’s world — from the in-house Lalique Interior Design Studio, to historic and contemporary decorative designs, a jewelry studio, art gallery, scent salon, bar and lounge space and more.

“With the launch of this new flagship, we are crafting more than a retail space — we are creating a unique journey into the heart of Lalique.” — Silvio Denz, executive chairman, Lalique Group.

Led by Marc Larminaux, artistic and creative director of Lalique, and Christos Prevezanos, founder and principal of the award-winning Studio Preveza, the creative direction for the townhome’s redesign pays homage to the rich heritage of the property itself with an intention to draw a through-line between the history of the mansion and Lalique’s own history. Leaving no corner undesigned, mural artist Chris “DAZE” Ellis was engaged to morph the stairwell into a multi-floor, full-color visual experience that walks guests through iconic, recurring Lalique creative themes of femme, flora and fauna.

“The Maison d’Artiste was inspired by the interiors of art lovers, artists and collectors who invite visitors to experience art and craftsmanship in an inspiring home setting,” Larminaux shares. “Like an artistic hub, this welcoming venue fosters collaboration and connection, serving as a place for celebrating artistry and sharing creative inspiration.”
