Big Things Come In Small Packages At Le Petite Maison Gala

The highly anticipated, third annual, La Petite Maison Gala is set to take over Houston this holiday season. The event, centered around a collection of one-of-a-kind dollhouses created by distinguished builders, architects, designers, and creatives, will be on “tour” at exclusive locations throughout Houston through December 3rd, followed by the main event on December 4th at Hotel ZaZa Museum District. All proceeds of the dollhouses, raffle, and art auction will benefit Family Houston.

The eight enlisted designers have been working tirelessly on their miniature masterpieces for months – collaborating with design brands, artists, and makers from across the nation to bring their wildest and tiniest visions to life. Attendees are encouraged to dress in this year’s theme, Après-Ski, and bid vigorously to win one of the prized dollhouses and other offerings for a good cause.

Alexandra Killion, interior designer and founding philanthropist of La Petite Maison notes, “We are increasingly blown away by the effort and talent the designers bring to the table for this event. What started as a small idea to harness the design community in and around Houston, has quickly surpassed what I could have imagined. I am so eager to see the one-of-kind designs of this year’s incredibly talented designers and to make all the difference for Family Houston and those that depend on their services.”

Killion will be joined by co-chairs: interior designer and dollhouse designer Lauren Wills Grover, and event coordinators Madelon McGrenera and Shellyn Shoenthal. The lead sponsor of the event is Birkman International. The gala will feature DJ Maddy Rose and auctioneer Johnny Bravo. Gala attendees will also have a chance to participate in the Bubbles & Bling Raffle sponsored by Valobra, featuring exquisite diamond earrings from the jeweler, along with other high-end raffle offerings and amazing art.

The beneficiary, Family Houston, is a community-based non-profit organization that provides economic opportunities for vulnerable communities in Houston. Family Houston employs a team of counselors, community support specialists, and coaches to strengthen families and contribute to a healthier and more stable community. The organization helps Houstonians improve their lives through programs that expand opportunities in education, career development, food security, and more.

Ken Sheirr, President & CEO of Family Houston, adds “We are so pleased to be connected to La Petite Maison Gala this year. Our focus is helping Houston families who need it most and I know this will bring immeasurable awareness to our cause. Fundraising events like this help power the programs Family Houston provides throughout the year. It brings real tangible change to this community, both financially and through the exposure to attendees and thus, throughout our great city.”
