Say Hello To Maison Mischief: A New Luxury Design Boutique In Coral Gables

For those officially over the era of beige and greige, a new maximalist playground has landed in Coral Gables. Katie and Ruben Gutierrez, the husband-and-wife team behind Miami’s celebrated Errez Design, recently opened Maison Mischief — a design-forward shop on Miracle Mile that seamlessly blends elements of a curated gallery, an artist’s atelier, and a vibrant home concept.

“Maison Mischief is about color, curiosity, and meaning,” says Katie. “We wanted to create a space where people could experiment with boldness and personality in design, even if it begins with a single object.”

Visitors to the concept shop are invited to dive right in. Upon entering, they are greeted by a curated menagerie of expressive art, coffee table books, avant-garde furniture, textiles, objets d’art. Items like the sculptural Float and Flaunt nesting tables — featuring high-gloss tops balanced on tinted lucite bases — offer functional eye-candy alongside singular lighting pieces such as the customizable Horizon Totem pendant and the Soleil Fringe Chandelier.

It is truly a haven for anyone eager to move away from the cookie-cutter spaces that have dominated the interior landscape. “People are increasingly looking for spaces that feel like themselves, not replicas of what they see online,” adds Ruben. “Maison Mischief is a place to explore design with curiosity. It’s playful, but everything here is chosen with intention.” Maison Mischief is located at 361 Miracle Mile.
