Ashley’s Cloud Sofa – Understated elegance with a sleek silhouette
Andrew Joseph: How do you approach a new design project?
Ameer Radwan: Ideas or inspiration for furniture seem to organically emerge, but it can often take years, and multiple rounds of drafting and prototyping to perfect a piece. It’s less a decision to execute a specific item, moreso a desire to experiment with an idea or an inspiration. This is why the product line is, and will likely remain, small. We don’t feel market pressures to show multiple new styles a year – we let it happen organically.
AJ: Can you describe your design philosophy in three words?
AR: Intentional, uncompromising, comfortable.

Kidney Sofa – A perfect statement piece for any room
AJ: How do you incorporate sustainability into your designs?
AR: All of our products are designed to be “heirlooms”; the highest quality and meant to last generations. The materials used, particularly in the frame, are built to endure. These items can be reupholstered every 10-15 years but the frames will last a really long time, which goes against the norm of disposable fast furniture. As well, we offer sustainable and healthier alternatives for frame padding. All of our pieces can be made with organic latex, cotton, or wool – all natural materials that promote better indoor air quality and a healthier sleep environment.
AJ: What’s a new hobby/skill that you have learned recently?
AR: I recently got a pool table which I have in my workroom. It helps me and the team have fun and blow off steam in between challenging projects.

Pillows Sofa – A playful approach to organic luxury
AJ: What is your favorite design era and why?
AR: A tie between the French minimalist pre-war style (pioneered by Jean Michel Frank and Jean Prouve) and the English sofa-making tradition. Both styles, and their emphasis on craft, have heavily influenced my work and our line.
