Andrew Joseph: What is something you hope to see trending in design in the future?
Victoria Holly: I constantly see so much material waste with product packaging, boxes, and crates. For all the kitchens or home features we demo, you realize how disposable everything is at the current moment. Right now, the design world is far from being sustainable. I don’t know the perfect solution to that, but I know it needs to change.

AJ: What’s a guilty pleasure you have?
VH: I am addicted to online antique auctions, whether I’m collecting items for myself or reselling. Sometimes I fall in love with something and don’t find the right spot for it for a couple of years! I love these furniture auctions because after seeing so much of the same day in and day out, I come across pieces I’ve never seen before.
AJ: If you weren’t a designer, you’d be a ….?
VH: A nail artist. I love painting nails and love that as a form of art and expression!

AJ: What’s your design pet peeve?
VH: Furniture that’s too small for a room! I see it so often on new client consults, and I wish people were more informed on the right size of furniture for a room. People are scared to go big, worrying they will go too big! And then they end up with furniture that’s way too small and aren’t sure why it’s not working.
AJ: What’s your go-to snack between zooms?
VH: Nespresso coffee with frothed Califa oat milk!
