Sales have officially launched at Mandarin Oriental Residences, Beverly Hills, the brand’s first standalone residential complex in the United States and inaugural residential location on the West Coast. Spearheaded by SHVO—a New York-based real estate development and investment firm with offices in cities like Los Angeles and Miami—the venture offers a five-star experience at home.
“We’re excited to launch sales at Mandarin Oriental Residences, Beverly Hills, and bring a new standard of elevated living to the market,” Michael Shvo, the firm’s founder and CEO, said in a statement. “Residents will have the best of both worlds, including the added security and privacy of a residential-only building underscored by legendary five-star Mandarin Oriental service, concierge-driven amenities, turn-key residences, and Michelin-starred culinary offerings.”
Spanning one full city block of Beverly Hills’ famed Wilshire Boulevard, the 323,000-square-foot development features 54 residences—including one-to-four-bedroom units and six penthouses. All residences were meticulously designed by 1508 London, marking the British-based firm’s first project stateside.
Inspired by local landscape and the quintessential relaxed-yet-refined California lifestyle, 1508 London employed top-of-the-line materials to create a warm, stylish atmosphere. Each residence is outfitted with custom-designed kitchens and closets from Molteni; French Vanilla marble-clad bathrooms; and wide-plank Nordik white oak flooring by Grato. Meanwhile, floor-to-ceiling high-performance glass windows provide an optimal vantage point to the lush surroundings outside. To give each space a technological touch, all units are prewired to accommodate Lutron home automation systems, motorized solar shades, and Nest thermostats.
Of course, the special features go beyond the individual homes. All residents will have access to a private porte-cochere with valet parking as well as a sprawling rooftop lounge, complete with a pool, spa, and state-of-the-art fitness center. Additionally, dwellers are eligible to opt into dining experiences from Daniel Boulud. For his west coast debut, the Michelin-star chef will service the private rooftop lounge, offer exclusive in-home dining experiences for owners, and operate a restaurant at the base of the building, which will be open to the public.
Though the well-appointed abodes just hit the market, residents will move into the new build beginning later this year. Pricing for a one-bedroom residence starts at $3.6 million; two-bedroom residences at $6.3 million; and three-bedroom residences at $9.5 million. Penthouse pricing is available at request.
