New Badgley Mischka Home Collections Correlate to Runway Looks

Badgley Mischka Home announces its new furniture offering correlates to the fashion brand’s Fall and Winter 2018 runway looks, a first for the home furnishings resource. Four new whole home collections will debut at the April High Point Market, in InterHall showroom IH-207.

With over 40 new SKUs, the spring debut marks the brand’s single largest home-focused introduction to date, since its initial launch in early 2017.

Known for their red-carpet and couture apparel, designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka drew inspiration for this season’s furnishings launch directly from their couture apparel line, referencing runway looks from the pair’s presentation at last month’s New York Fashion Week.

PALISADES COLLECTION
Evoking the ease of coastal living, the Palisades collection of living room furniture features plush upholstered seating in occasional and accent chairs, designed to coordinate with sofa, lounge and loveseat styles.

Consistent with this lifestyle’s relaxed yet elegant vibe, natural wood and cane detailing are deftly mixed with lacquered navy, stone grey, and cloud white finishes.

True to the designers’ shared aesthetic, intricate hand-carving and hand-gilded elements – such as antiqued silver leaf – are further juxtaposed against natural-blend fabrics in a soft cream and indigo color palette, adding luxe details to livable furnishings.

MARMONT COLLECTION
The French Art Deco movement offers endless inspiration to the fashion and interior design worlds, and Mark Badgley and James Mischka are happily susceptible to its influence. They add a modern perspective to their work, both on the runway and for the Marmont collection.

In their new furniture offering for living areas, intricate wood carving and signature, hand-applied gold and silver leaf are unexpectedly combined with matte ebony and chocolate wood finishes. Richly colored fabrics in crimson and blush tones become further elevated with the addition of metallic threads in soft champagne tones.

Statement seating items are designed for 360-degree views with back detailing and French-inspired fauteuil arms.

The collection is capped off with a novelty game table and chairs to correlate.

BEL AIR COLLECTION
Perennial favorites earn the term ‘Classics’ for a reason, as they offer enduring appeal in the wardrobe or the living room.

Menswear-inspired prints like houndstooth and pinstripe get updated when paired with bold floral patterns and lavish, textured fabrics in a palette of dark navy, black, cream, gray, silver and deep honey tones.

Upholstery materials are mixed with gold and silver leaf, custom hand-gilded with ebony and chocolate matte wood finishes to add visual interest and depth of dimension to seating frames.

CATALINA COLLECTION
A channel-tufted headboard and bed bench are among the sophisticated silhouettes and sleek designs offered in the new Catalina collection from Badgley Mischka Home, which additionally includes a vanity table and chair.

This collection’s high-gloss wood finish is paired with a natural fabric color story, featuring classic tan and ivory shades with metallic elements. The shine factor is omnipresent with Champagne metal finishes and hardware and more signature hand-gilding.
