NYC’s Flatiron District recently welcomed the new LIXIL Water Experience Center. It’s a unique retail showcase, crafted to show off the latest and greatest from top brands including American Standard, GROHE, DXV, INAX and Basco. But it also aims to be a destination for the design community—with 10,000 square feet configurable to host training sessions, parties, screenings and more—in addition to an ever-evolving parade of product.
Why a New LIXIL Experience Center?
“The LIXIL Water Experience Center is a testament to our unwavering focus on innovation and design excellence—bringing our heritage, our customers, and our future vision together in one inspiring space,” said Nik Bafana, Leader, LIXIL Americas.
“Brand experience centers serve as the bridge between inspiration and realization—helping make better homes for everyone, everywhere” said Jean-Jacques L’Hénaff, Leader, LIXIL Global Design, Americas. “They’re collaborative hubs where designers, contractors, and homeowners come together to share ideas.”
This LIXIL Water Experience Center was brought to life through a collaboration between the Paris-based interior design agency Malherbe and LIXIL’s award-winning Global Design team. Judging from its successful preview and grand opening soiree, the space is ready in its event-hosting capacity. But what else should you look for when you visit?
What to See at LIXIL Water Experience
Faucets: Displays in various parts of the space offer the opportunity to try fixtures. Features from touch turn-on to pull-down nozzles are fully functional, so you can see how they feel in the palm of your hand. Some even offer effervescent water directly from the tap.
Showers: The working shower room feels as sleek and futuristic as the Starship Enterprise. Ten pairs of handles and shower heads offer full expressions of their function. There’s also a clever magnetic board nearby on which to arrange custom shower elements to the perfect height for your home.
Tile: An unassuming corner of the store also offers some technological innovation that doesn’t come with a handle. ECOCARAT tiles from INAX are not only attractive. They also refresh the air by eliminating odors and maintaining comfortable humidity.
This is only a sip of what awaits at the LIXIL Water Experience Center. See lixilwaterxnyc.com to plan your visit.
