Nicole Fuller is a Vogue-approved Manhattan interior designer with an impressive client list and a global flair. That isn’t all though; she loves PG Tips tea, cocktail hour, and racing cars. She’s an adrenaline junkie, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. Fuller is as busy as it gets, with projects popping up in London, France, and Israel, and keeps herself even busier as an editor of Angeleno Magazine. In between jobs, we got a chance to catch Nicole for a Friday chat.
Andrew Joseph – What’s your wakeup ritual?
Nicole Fuller – When I wake up, the first thing I always do is kiss and snuggle my husband and my three Maine Coon cats… Hip, Hop and Rock. While still in bed, I do a quick skim of my texts, emails and Instagram. I then get up, put music on, light a few candles and put on the kettle to make my favorite tea, PG Tips. I have a vintage Hermes teacup that I drink it out of every morning. I literally go to bed every night excited for my morning tea!
Andrew – What’s your favorite time of day?
Nicole – Twilight, also known as sunset or better yet, cocktail hour. No matter where I am in the world, as the sun sets, I am filled with a burst of energy, inspiration and a feeling of overall happiness. I feel invigorated and ready to take on the night.
Andrew – What is one thing no one knows about you?
Nicole – I love to race cars… The adrenaline rush I get from racing is unlike any other feeling. I have felt this way since I was a little girl, I had race cars and Barbies.
Andrew – Dream country to work in? Or dream project to take on?
Nicole – I am so blessed to be working as a designer and doing what I love every day. We have projects globally in London, France and Israel at the moment, which is amazing. I would love to work on a private residence and a luxury hotel in Paris and Dubai. I am so inspired by the beauty and the mix of contemporary and classic elements that Paris is so effortlessly able to conjure. Simultaneously, the mix of modern and cutting-edge architecture and design that Dubai has captured is unlike any other city.
Andrew – How would you define your work in three words?
Nicole – Chic, elegant and timeless.
Andrew – What would you like to be remembered for?
Nicole – I would like to be remembered for having made a difference, inspiring youth to design, create and do what they love; to be fearless and know that you are enough. Giving back, saving animals and this beautiful planet and endless laughter.
Andrew – Favorite scent?
Nicole –
My favorite scent is the smell of the privet hedges starting to bloom in Southampton in the Summer. It evokes such strong memories of happiness that I have with my late mother who is and always will be one of my biggest inspirations.
Andrew – What are you most excited about at this time in your life?
Nicole – I am so thrilled about all our wonderful clients/projects that we are currently working on, including my product design and art collaborations, and along with recently becoming a contributing editor for Angeleno Magazine. It’s all very exciting…We have so much on the horizon… I couldn’t do it without my amazing team, which I am so grateful for and I am looking forward to all the incredible adventures ahead.
