B&B Italia is hitting the high seas with its recent collaboration with the legendary travel group Orient Express. Alongside sister company Maxalto, B&B Italia has supplied standard and custom-made furnishings for the interiors of the luxury sailing yacht Orient Express Corinthian.

720 feet long, with three masts and over 16,000 square feet of rigid sails each, the Orient Express Corinthian is equipped with all the comforts for an exclusive and experiential stay, taking its guests between the Mediterranean and the Adriatic until October, before setting sail for the Atlantic and spending the winter in the Caribbean.
Inspired by the legacy of Orient Express, the interior design reinterprets the elegance of French craftsmanship for a new era of maritime luxury.

Leveraging the creative and productive energies of both B&B Italia and Maxalto, B&B Italia Group was able to design and produce 52 custom-made products in just 10 months for the Orient Express Corinthian — totaling over 500 pieces designed by Maxime D’Angeac, architect and artistic director of Orient Express. The vessel, which features 54 suites, five Michelin-starred restaurants, and a spa, is also furnished with over 130 standard products selected from the B&B Italia and Maxalto catalogues, including the Caratos chairs, the Lilium sofa, the Febo seating, and the Pathos console table.

“Luxury here is more than an aesthetic, it is an experience,” writes Orient Express. “The soft glow of vintage-inspired lighting, the tactile beauty of handcrafted materials, the sculptural refinement of bespoke furnishings: every element reflects a devotion to the art of living well.”
