Schwartz Design Showroom Is Refreshing Its Portfolio With Four New Brands

Schwartz Design Showroom has transcended 75 years in business, three generations of ownership, and a total of three spacious locations—and it’s just getting started. With founder Morris Schwartz’s granddaughter, Alexis Varbero (left), at the helm, the trade-only interiors showroom has become one of the most prominent industry destinations for the entire design process.

Though Schwartz Design has over 300 manufacturers—spanning across categories like lighting, hardware, and furnishings—the showroom is expanding its reach once again by adding four new brands to its portfolio.

“When selecting manufacturers and textile designers for our showrooms, we have two priorities,” Varbero says. “One is to help our partners launch their lines and beautifully showcase their collections and the second is to provide access to the finest the industry has to offer for our interior design clients.”

With a mix of established, industry favorites and burgeoning brands, these new offerings cement Schwartz’s status as the secret behind every well-appointed room. Read on for an intimate look at Schwartz Design Showroom’s latest additions.

Society of Wonderland

Founded by Stephanie Eventov in 2015, Society of Wonderland uses its art, textiles, and wallcoverings to explore the intersection of old and new. With a heavy emphasis on color, bold scale, and elevated materials, the Brooklyn-based brand brings yesteryear’s design influences to the digital age. For the ultimate blast from the past, look to Society of Wonderland’s Nu-Disco Shakedown, which reimagines the popular curves of the 1970s in a selection of bright, maximalist colorways.

Aronson Woodworks

Aronson Woodworks is in the business of preserving Mother Nature in all her glory. Located 15 minutes south of Des Monies—in a 5,000-square-foot woodworking shop, to be exact—the Iowa-based manufacturer excels in using time-honored techniques to make custom wooden furniture. Though each of Aronson Woodworks’ offerings are one of a kind, its popular Claize finish gives each piece a distinct black and white finish.

Jiun Ho

As Jiun Ho’s assortment of supple layers proves, the right material can be the gateway to another part of the world. Inspired by the world’s diverse landscapes and cultures, the eponymous textile line provides a bit of wanderlust to window treatments, furniture upholstery, and beyond. To give his collections a global appeal, Ho partners with the finest mills in Italy and India to create textiles ranging from velvet to satin.

Osborne & Little

For many designers, Osborne & Little needs no introduction. The British manufacturer has been making well-appointed textiles and wallcoverings since its founding n 1968. Schwartz Design Showroom recently added the beloved brand to its portfolio, providing a convenient spot to stock up on its signature collection, designer collaborations, and latest lines.
