DETOUR Gallery is a 10,000 square foot contemporary art center located in the arts district of Downtown Red Bank, NJ. Consisting of three main exhibitions spaces and several exterior locations for artistic engagement, Detour hosts rotating art exhibitions, residencies, mural art projects, lectures, and educational events for the community.

DETOUR seeks to be a space that brings together the surrounding community and its visitors through the power of visual art. Through its curated programming, DETOUR aspires to develop cultural dialogue, encourage critical thinking, and enhance the day-to- day experience of the community.

DETOUR is committed to exhibiting the work of emerging and established artists from around the world—specifically work that deviates from the beaten path and is not afraid to take risks. DETOUR showcases work in all mediums, exemplifying in particular a sincere sense of skill, wit, and narrative. Detour nurtures the careers of artists through various additional outlets such as limited edition artist books and catalogues, the DETOUR Project Residency, an artist video series, and artist lectures.
