Designer Rocky Rochon was compelled to open The Paint Laboratory after the locally-owned paint store he relied on to serve his clients closed its doors in 2012. Rocky was determined to provide unique solutions, along with exceptional color services and products, for design-savvy consumers.

The Paint Laboratory is a retail paint and e-commerce store offering a wide variety of high-quality points, stains, special finishes and sundries. Our colorists are experts in color development, working with your materials and unique lighting conditions to create perfectly curated finishes. Headquartered in Seattle, we offer fast, convenient shipping directly to your job site anywhere in the world.

Obsessed with color, Rocky introduced a contemporary pallet of over 500 richly saturated colors, engineered for depth and complexity. Hand-painted samples are critical for accurate, predictable paint color selection. We offer a range of sample materials including Chips, Brushouts, Test-pots and Fandecks.

The Paint Laboratory is driven to source the highest quality eco-friendly products and strongly believes in finding alternatives to traditionally toxic finishes. Rocky Rochon Paint, available exclusively at The Paint Laboratory, is comprised solely of low- or zero-VOC water-based paints.
