
The innovative Vermelha Chair from Edra is created by the overlapping of hundreds of twists of special rope over a steel base frame. About five hundred meters of materials are utilized in every piece, as the acrylic core covered in cotton ropes are first woven onto the frame for creating a structure
and then they are knotted in a consecutive overlapping, so that a kind of free interlacement is the result, a unique mark of the Campana brothers.
Several days’ manual work and high expertise craftsmanship in this interlacement are necessary for creating the armchair.
