Kingston Design Connection founder and co-owner of design/construction firm Damour Drake, Maryline Damour, is pleased to announce the third annual KINGSTON DESIGN SHOWHOUSE coming this November 2020.
In recent years, many designers, makers and creative businesses have moved to the picturesque Hudson Valley in upstate New York. With a growing design/build industry, it was Maryline Damour’s vision to create a mechanism to enable designers, makers, contractors and businesses to connect, support each other’s businesses, and promote great design in the region.
Although the coronavirus has disrupted the design/build industry as a whole, it has also increased the number of creatives moving to the Hudson Valley in recent months. Maryline Damour says, “More than ever, we need to come together as a community, embrace new creatives in the area, and support each other. Kingston Design Connection and the KINGSTON DESIGN SHOWHOUSE have provided opportunities for local businesses and has been a vehicle for local development in the design/build industry. “
With the growing success and attendance from the past two years, it should come as no surprise that this fall’s SHOWHOUSE will be a fabulous event that will bring together the Kingston community. Designers will take over a turn-of-the-century mansion, specifically chosen this year so that they can work safely and attendees can visit the showhouse safely. The house has multiple entrances, large rooms, and a half-acre of fenced-in garden.
Kicking off this fall’s KINGSTON DESIGN SHOWHOUSE is a garden party during Columbus Day Weekend, as well as a pop-up Kingston Design Connection shop where the 2020 moodboards will be revealed. House tours will run on weekends from November 27 – December 13. Click here for more information, and to schedule your visit.
