New Ravenna, the premier manufacturer of tile mosaics in America, is celebrating 30 years in business by inviting you to take part in their design process. Now through August 21, the brand is holding a Mosaic Design Competition, ultimately selecting two winners whose designs will be created in mosaic by the master mosaicists at New Ravenna, and will be included in the Heritage Collection which launches this fall.
“Once you fall in love with mosaics, you begin seeing mosaic concepts everywhere you look,” New Ravenna shared on their website. “From the shadows cast in a rippling pool to a competitive game of dominoes, our designers have gathered inspiration from some of the most unlikely places. For this competition, we want to turn your ideas into mosaic and add them to our catalog.”

The two categories open for submission are Fine Art and Pattern. One first-place design per category will be showcased at the New Ravenna Heritage event in October, and added to the catalog. This is a blind judging competition and a panel of New Ravenna employees will select the winners. Runners-up will be highlighted at the event, and all submissions will be published in print form. Submissions are due by 11:59pm on Sunday, August 21, 2022.
HOW TO ENTER:
Submit the following to [email protected] by August 21, 2022:
- Your name, phone number, and email address
- Intended category for submission: Fine Art or Pattern
- Your design. Fine Art submissions should fit on a 72″h x 42″w scale. Pattern submissions should be drawn to a 24″ x 24″ scale
- Up to 200 words describing the inspiration and functionality behind the concept
