The home of the LA Auto Show will see Alcantara train its headlights on its very special relationship with the automotive industry at a landmark exhibit debuting at the Petersen Automotive Museum on November 29th 2017. The “Ride Into Lifestyle” pop-up show artistically reimagines the intersections of luxury fashion, design, technology, art and engine that Alcantara is known for globally.
The show is a creative tribute to one of Alcantara’s key assets and distinguishing features – versatility. Curated by revered artist and designer Rebecca Moses, “Ride into Lifestyle” is an experience. Guests ‘take a spin’ through an imaginary landscape celebrating symbols of contemporary style, outsized objects that render guests Lilliputian and reveal the extraordinary. The unique installation is the backdrop to an event that promises to take guests on a journey of the mind and spirit, transposing elements of the everyday and pushing the boundaries of the imaginary. The installation interprets elements of luxury lifestyle – the It Bag, the Designer Shoe, mood-setting statement furniture, the next-gen tech device, and a gown fit for a silver screen star with a train doubling as a fairy-tale highway – all crafted with Alcantara ® . The automobile is the dreamlike visitor and observer of this world of style and fashion that marries art and technology.
