Introducing the 2016 Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens, debuting in the heart of Atlanta’s exclusive Buckhead neighborhood in Spring of 2016

Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles magazine announces its first annual Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens in an exquisite new home in Buckhead’s Tuxedo Park neighborhood. Held from April 23 – May 15, 2016, the event will take place at a 20,000-square-foot English manor-style house located at 3800 Northside Drive.

Expected to stake its claim as one of the most influential and significant designer showhouses in the Southeast, the 2016 showhouse is designed by architect Dietrich T. Logan of Logan Design Group International, built by Bill Preston, president of Atlanta-based Paradise Builders Inc., and is situated on a 3.5-acre lot that will also include a 2,500-square-foot pool house, infinity edge pool and tennis court.

Despite its size and formal architectural envelope (the exterior is cast stone and stone veneer and boasts a slate roof), the home will envelop visitors as soon as they walk through the front door thanks to a pair of arched staircases on either side of the 32-foot-tall entry foyer that act like “inviting arms.”

Other design details include a two-story great room with 28-foot-tall ceilings, a lofty master suite with separate closets for him and her, and a terrace level with 12-foot-tall ceilings and a spa. The home features five bedrooms and nine baths over three finished floors.

In addition to the array of top designers that will be selected to participate, renowned Atlanta-based interior designer Suzanne Kasler will serve as Honorary Chair for the 2016 Southeastern Showhouse and Gardens. Named to the AD100, Kasler is known for her casual elegance as well as for her signature collections for Lee Jofa, Hickory Chair, Visual Comfort and Ballard Designs. She is a favorite of national shelter publications and will design the dining room at this year’s showhouse.

“There’s nothing more magnificent than Atlanta in bloom, and we are excited to debut this inaugural showcase of the best in Southeastern design as a beautiful harbinger of spring. The 2016 Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens will be the ultimate interpretation of gracious living and quintessential Southern style, right in the heart of Buckhead,” says Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles publisher Gina Christman.
