Burke Tulip-Style Armchairs

Burke Tulip-Style Armchairs

The Burke tulip-style armchairs are the first cousins to the more famous Eero Saarinen Tulip Chairs. Burke mass produced their chairs in the 1960s to great popularity. These tulips have become collectible and, with their iconic starburst bases, (Saarinen’s are circular) were seating staples on the USS Enterprise.

This set of 4 underwent a restoration courtesy of art gallery Forsyth, including a fresh coat of glossy black paint. Forsyth additionally added custom cushions crafted from thick, cozy California sheepskins.
