C2 Paint has named Pueblo (C2-510) its 2027 Color of the Year — a nuanced, warm hue that moves between earth, rose and brown, revealing a different character as the light around it changes. It is a color that feels familiar yet difficult to define: complex, individual and alive.
“We’ve all been in a period of restoration and renewal, so we asked ourselves: What comes next?” shares Philippa Radon, interior designer and C2 paint color specialist. “We re-engage. We rediscover what inspires us, activates our senses and brings color back to our cheeks. There is something distinctly human about Pueblo. It refuses to be just one thing. There is an earthen quality, but also rose. Brown softened by warmth. In one light it feels muted and grounded; in another, its rosy undertones come forward. Morning, afternoon and evening each reveal something different. That complexity is what drew us to it.”

Pueblo leads Rural Renaissance, C2’s 2027 color story exploring what happens when we are ready to re-engage with life: rediscovering curiosity, creativity, appetite and the experiences that activate our senses.
After years focused on quiet, retreat and renewal, C2 sees a growing desire for what comes next. Cooking something slowly. Growing something from seed. Making something with our hands. Setting a table and filling it with people. Finding an old piece and seeing new possibilities in it. Surrounding ourselves with objects, colors and ideas that make us feel something. Rural Renaissance is about that reawakening.

Pueblo is joined by Ambrosia, Element, amd Death by Chocolate, three colors that reveal different aspects of the hero hue while expanding Rural Renaissance into a versatile, layered palette. Together, the colors feel collected rather than prescribed, with depth, softness, earthiness and freshness. Each has a distinct personality, becoming even more interesting in the company of the others.
Together, the four colors create a world that feels warm, tactile, expressive and deeply personal.

At the heart of Rural Renaissance is a desire to feel more, to notice texture, taste, scent, light and the things that make us curious. Nature remains an endless source of inspiration, where color changes with light, season, weather and place. Pueblo captures that same complexity and reminds us to look again.
