Concept:

“It is with great respect for the uniqueness of the architecture that I was inspired to compose the space with a bold and fluid hand reminiscent of the mid-century masters. By making the structural details luxurious, yet understated, I was able to amplify the beauty of its original integrity. Clean and classic furnishings, accessorized with vintage and one-of-a-kind pieces, provide a perfectly comfortable and creative sanctuary. Once you allow yourself to listen to the story the space is telling, you can create an authentic design.”
Final Design:
“When I first came to see the space it was pretty raw and there was lots of exposed brick, which inspired me to go in an industrial/vintage direction,” says Ciardi.
Integral to achieving the right tone are the large statement pieces Ciardi used to anchor the individual spaces; including the mirror hung over the fireplace, and the chandelier by Tightrope that fills the stairwell.
“Instead of a chandelier it looks like a giant piece of art,” says Ciardi.
