Concept:

My inspiration for this room is dedicated to my mother who is a breast cancer survivor. I designed it with the intent of renewal for anyone going through treatment. I wanted it to be a place where one could come, relax and be around soothing colors and inspiring visuals. It was important for me to fill the space with things that my mother loves as well as pay homage to all survivors.
Final Design:
Inspired by the breast cancer research campaign’s signature pink, Davis painted the ceiling in the hallway leading to the master bath Benjamin Moore’s 2020 color of the year, First Light. The rosy hue is flanked by the graphic mask illustrations of The Vale’s Panamania wallpaper.
In the bedroom, a soft color palette leads the eye up to the dark stained ceiling, where a Circa Lighting chandelier takes center stage.
“I absolutely love love love the light fixture I chose for the ceiling, it’s so full of life,” says Davis. “I wanted the ceiling to be super dark because it’s so high, and so I added this big light fixture in to absorb it. And it’s stunning.”
