This stylish living room mixes modern and classical design elements that make for a cozy and elevated space. The Rising Moon armchairs by Rose Tarlow sit at either end of room and give a strong curvilinear shape to the otherwise angular décor.
Andrew Joseph: What’s something you always travel with?
Jaqui Seerman: A tiny boudoir pillow that fits in my travel bag for long flights. I have a beautiful pillow from Kim at Scandia Down that has traveled around the world with me and its chic embroidered cover slips off easily for laundering.
AJ: Who was the nicest person you worked for? Dare you want to share the worst?
JS: The nicest designer I ever worked for was Martyn Lawrence Bullard. He compliments other designers with ease, has an amazing talent for levity in even the most stressful of situations and is constantly searching for beauty in all aspects of life.

Twin steel gray cocoon chairs create an ideal space for conversation or curling up with a good book in this cozy living room. Exposed wooden ceiling and globe chandelier usher in a retro-futuristic feel while remaining sophisticated.
AJ: What are three things you can’t live without?
JS: Olive oil, honey, and bread! Right now I’m obsessed with Wonder Valley Olive Oil, Flamingo Estate Honey, and Louis the Loafers fresh-baked Porridge Bread, made right here in sunny LA! We order them and gobble them up faster than the replacement supply can arrive!
AJ: What’s the weirdest thing a client has ever asked you to design?
JS: Sex rooms.

A beachy living space features wicker armchairs with olive green cushions and a contrasting purple tropical print sofa. Coffee colored Roman shades, a gallery wall, cushions in pops of yellow and pink and printed wallpaper are masterfully curated together to create harmonious layers that are drenched in natural light.
AJ: A book that everyone should read?
JS: Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell. I especially appreciated his narrative on the inner workings of the esteemed Hotel X.
AJ: What do you find yourself daydreaming about most these days?
JS: Traveling abroad. We’ve been so isolated during the pandemic, I look forward to stepping into the world again and wrapping myself in its inherent beauty and diverse culture.
