Headquartered in San Francisco, Studio Heimat has had the privilege of working with clients from the mountains of Engleberg to the beaches of the Bahamas and across the US. Founded in 2015, Alicia Cheung and Eva Bradley met while working for tastemaker and influential designer Ken Fulk. Their friendship transformed into a growing team of designers collaborating with architects, builders, and artisans to achieve spaces carefully crafted for their clients. Andrew Joseph: Secret talent?
Eva Bradley: I don’t like to brag, but I am a really good snowboarder. Growing up in Switzerland, I had the joy of going to the alps every weekend during the winter. I love snowboarding all day while enjoying the beautiful snow-covered scenery. Then go home to a cozy chalet, turn on the fireplace, and sip a cup of tea (or glass of wine) before eating a homemade meal. Mountain homes always have a special place in my heart.
AJ: If you could live in any home in a movie or television series, what would it be?
Alicia Cheung: I would go back into the world of Downton Abbey. The grandeur of it all, the ceremony and rituals, and the entire room of silverware for extremely specific uses! It would be delightful to experience, I’d imagine.

This whimsical pink paradise is a cozy escape, where the daybed beckons you to unwind, the vibrant rug invites you to play, and fluttering butterflies dance across the walls.
AJ: Favorite piece of clothing you own?
EB: Currently, it would be my maxi dress by Ulla Johnson. The poofy shape of the shoulders, the asymmetry of the hem, and the diagonal ruching detail along the front are a perfect combination to make it feel edgy and whimsical at the same time. Ulla Johnson is not afraid of patterns, and I love how she mixes them in unexpected ways. The small buffalo check pattern of this dress is no exception and adds a touch of nostalgia, while the burgundy and aqua colors add another layer of interest when draped over the body.
AC: Right now, it is a mini sparkly pink and gold sheath dress (with pockets!) by Lanvin. It’s practical and fun, and you can dress it up with heels or down with sneakers and a denim jacket – but it still gives a little something extra.

Welcome to a San Francisco kitchen boasting modern elegance. A geometric tile backsplash, brass accents and a sleek sliding ladder define this captivating culinary haven.
AJ: Are you a pet person? Why either way? Dogs or cats?
EB: Yes, I am most certainly a pet person – specifically a dog person. I have a Hungarian Vizsla, Cashus, and he is the epitome of a Velcro dog, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I think dogs have the kindest heart. They can sense when you are not doing well and cuddle up with you and can also feel it when you are happy and join in on the fun. Not sure how we humans got so lucky to be able to have dogs as family members.
AJ: How would you describe your personal style?
AC: Elegant, rich auntie mixed with your crazy spontaneous friend from college, who you never see anymore. Does that make sense?
