Hotel AKA NoMad is a refined boutique hotel situated in Manhattan’s vibrant NoMad neighborhood. Piero Lissoni is an Italian architect, designer, and art director renowned for his minimalist and timeless design philosophy. Born in 1956 in Seregno, Italy, he graduated in architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1978. In 1986, he co-founded Lissoni Associati (now Lissoni & Partners) with Nicoletta Canesi, expanding into architecture, interior, product, and graphic design. His firm operates globally from Milan and New York, with a portfolio encompassing residential, commercial, hospitality, and yacht design projects. Lissoni serves as creative director for several prestigious Italian brands, including Boffi, Lema, Porro and Sanlorenzo. His work has earned him numerous accolades, such as the Compasso d’Oro Career Award and multiple Red Dot Awards.
