HOUSTON, TX
Architecture: Lake Flato Architects
Hotel Saint Augustine is a boutique hotel located in Houston’s vibrant Montrose neighborhood, adjacent to the Menil Collection. Opened in December 2024, it marks Bunkhouse Hotels’ first property in Houston. The hotel features 71 rooms and suites spread across five two-story buildings, designed by Lake|Flato and Post Company. The architecture blends seamlessly with the neighborhood’s residential character, incorporating lush courtyards and winding pathways amid heritage oaks and native plants.

Guests can dine at Perseid, an all-day restaurant helmed by Houston chef Aaron Bludorn, offering a menu that fuses Gulf Coast flavors with French techniques. The Augustine Lounge provides a cozy setting for cocktails and light bites. Additional amenities include a circular heated courtyard pool, an intimate event space, and a listening room. Each room is thoughtfully designed with modernist elements and curated furnishings, reflecting the hotel’s artistic surroundings.
