Natural Materials Are The Basis For These 9 Editor’s Picks

Biocomposite Furniture Collection | Philipp Aduatz
Austrian product designer Philipp Aduatz launched a new eco-friendly furniture collection using an amalgamation of wood, flax fibers and a bio-based epoxy resin. The resulting composite material is rendered in his capsule collection of a chair, side table, coffee table and lamp. Aduatz’s approach maximizes the use of renewable materials to minimize his carbon footprint. For the chair and tables, he sourced branches from the forest near his studio, carefully wrapping the wood in flax fibers and infusing it with dyed resin. This process ensures that each piece is a unique sculpture reflecting Aduatz’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of experimental design.
