The Foam Work Of Sayar & Garibeh Pushes The Boundaries Of Materiality

Stephanie Sayar and Charbel Garibeh push the boundaries of materiality to produce cutting-edge works in unique mediums. Their latest foray? A playful mix of ceramic and foam.

“The choice of foam was based on its chemical and physical properties,” they shared. “Foam expands and moves to reach new levels, and can never be limited; it’s alive, dynamic and cannot be trapped in a defined space – like memories, ideas, and stories.”

Currently available through R & Company, Sayar and Garibeh have nine pieces, from lamps to furniture, using this unique melding of materials. Take a look here.
