Henry Hall: A Rising Star in New York City

If your rental goals include living in a hip new high-rise that’s close to everything The City That Never Sleeps has to offer, we’d like you to meet Henry Hall. No, he isn’t a real estate agent or business associate… Henry Hall is a posh designer rental property in Hudson Yards that represents the residential intersection of New York’s lively nightlife and a boutique hotel lifestyle.

Developed by Imperial Companies on behalf of a joint venture partnership with Shorenstein, the 225-residence building will include a new restaurant by Delicious Hospitality Group and features exquisite interiors and common areas from the whimsical mind of celebrated designer Ken Fulk.

Located at 515 West 38th St. on the site of the former Legacy Recording Studio, this 33-story building is comprised of studio, one- and two-bedroom residences. In contrast to the glass towers dominating the Hudson Yards neighborhood, Henry Hall tips its hat to “Old New York” with its brick and steel facade.

The decision to have a high-caliber designer like Fulk oversee the layouts puts this building in a whole new category, according to Eric Birnbaum, co-founder and partner at Imperial Companies. “Each residence is designed by Fulk with finishes such as ash hardwood flooring, and oversized factory-style windows that flood them with natural sunlight and provide sweeping city views,” he tells. “Gourmet kitchens are equipped with white quartz countertops and backsplashes, premium brass fixtures by Waterworks, and stainless-steel appliances by Bosch and KitchenAid. In the bathrooms, gray and white hexagonal floor tiles set the stage for polished nickel fittings, a custom-designed medicine cabinet with integrated vanity lighting. Additionally, each unit is equipped with a Bosch washer/dryer.”

Henry Hall’s location is incredibly convenient to everything New York City has to offer, Birnbaum notes. “Hudson Yards’ close proximity to the major transportation hubs of the recently completed seven subway line extension, Penn Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal provides an array of convenient transportation options,” he explains. “Henry Hall is near some of the city’s finest shopping, dining, entertainment and cultural venues, and is surrounded by Chelsea and the Meatpacking District to the south and the Hudson River to the west.”

An exciting restaurant in the building is sure to bring residents together in a vibrant, richly designed environment. “Henry Hall – as part of its innovative programming – will debut Delicious Hospitality’s new restaurant,” Birnbaum continues. “The restaurant, bar and lounges will spread over the building’s first and second floors, in effect making these public areas and Henry Hall’s common spaces – such as the second-floor bar, drawing room and wine room – one and the same.”

In addition to the restaurant and second-floor lounge, residents will have access to an array of sought-after amenities, including a “jam room,” resident’s club room, view-filled roof deck, state-of-the-art training center, and private dining rooms and wine room, as well as exclusive access to Henry Hall Concierge for 24-hour service. The building residents will also ultimately have access to the nearby Hudson Park and the Highline

“Every space, however unique, public or private, is considered an essential part of the Henry Hall story,” Birnbaum concludes. “They become a defining element of the residential experience. So many people would love to live in their favorite hotel or have the city’s newest restaurant just downstairs, and Henry Hall makes that a reality.”
