Toasting the Guests | Make your guests feel extra welcome with a special cocktail whipped up just for them. The bartenders at Vermilion, an Indian-Latin restaurant in Chicago, recommend the festive and offbeat Devil in the White City martini, and they’ve shared the recipe with us to recreate at home.
Devil in the White City Martini
– 2.5 ounces vanilla vodka
– 1 ounce cardamom saffron vodka
-2 ounces coconut milk
Combine the vanilla vodka, infused vodka, and coconut milk in an ice-filled shaker. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a rose petal.
Note: To make infused vodka, add cardamom and saffron to any brand vodka and allow to infuse for at least three days.
Freddo Martini
– 2 shots espresso
– 1 ounce Grey Goose vodka
– 1 ounce homemade coffee liqueur
– 3 ice cubes
In a cocktail shaker, combine all ingredients and shake until frosted. Pour in a 6 oz. martini glass and top with 3 espresso beans. Add cinnamon to taste.
