Your First Look Inside ASPIRE HOUSE Princeton Designer Show House

ASPIRE DESIGN AND HOME is proud and delighted to provide an exclusive look inside the ASPIRE HOUSE Princeton Designer Show House. It has been a great pleasure collaborating with the enormously talented team of 17 participating designers, as well as the show house sponsors, product sponsors, crafts people, vendors and volunteers that all contributed to bringing this incredible home to life.

Take a look inside each of the 14 signature spaces below:

Space: Foyer
Designer: Joe Berkowitz
JAB Design Group

“The Entry is part Bohemian Parlor and Part Refined Art Gallery. It is a curated collection of textured wallcoverings and unique furnishing, set against a backdrop of dry cerused wood panels and blackened steel.”

Space: Library
Designer: Amy Manor
Red Bank Design Center

“I wanted to express the Library as a room of diversity. My vision has remained the same but has taken on an unexpected direction of interpretation and individual discovery. The pallet is dark, mesmerizing, and thought-provoking. My wish is to create a judgment free space to discover beauty and truth in oneself. I have had the privilege to be inspired for this project by Jill Ricci of Parlor Gallery, Gavin Benjamin, Franko Lacosta, Jennifer Gennari, Janell Designs and many others…thank you for being my friends and supporting me on this journey.”

Space: His Office
Designers: Joe Giamarese & Vivian Hung
Global Home Interior Design

“Although it’s a workspace, we wanted the user to feel like a world-traveler despite the need to stay close to home this year. We incorporated exotic ikat and Greek key patterns with the area rug and drapery to inject energy into an otherwise orderly and luxurious ensemble of refined surfaces, subtly textured grasscloth wallpaper, and other textural accents.”

Space: Her Office
Designers: Vicki Kelly Gindi & Tram-Anh Poprik
Red Bank Design Center

“For our ‘Ladies Office,’ we envisioned a room that translates to an escape both in mind, body and spirit. A place where creativity can flourish, the mind can rest with nature, and form and focus can organically coexist.”

Space: Great Room
Designer: Anna Maria Mannarino
Mannarino Designs, Inc.

“Music is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual life.” – Ludwig van Beethoven

Space: Kitchen + Butler’s Pantry
Designer: Ginny Padula
Town & Country Kitchen And Bath

“We were chosen by the homeowners to help set the tone for the interior design of the home based on their inspiration images. They wanted an overall Asian styling with a cool California modern flare. We worked with them in designing and specifying the cabinetry, as well as the permanent fixtures for plumbing, tile and countertops for the kitchen, along with the butler’s pantry, bar, laundry room, pantry, mudroom and all the bathrooms.”

Space: Dining Room
Designer: Sam Ciardi
Samuel Robert Signature Spaces

“Antique wooden panels set a dramatic backdrop for this Multi-Century, Global Dining Room. Midcentury, Italian dining chairs paired with a custom oval dining table create the ultimate expression of luxurious minimalism. A dark, earthy ceiling allows for dozens of illuminated vessels to appear suspended in midair. Deep green lacquer covers a bespoke credenza painting a stroke of glossy sophistication. The deep bold ‘Palm Frond’ textured walls will whisk you away to your own Private Paradise.”

Space: Drawing Room
Designer: Alirio Pirela
Pirela Atelier

“The room is a celebration of the atypical and unexpected; creating multifaceted space that is inviting, alive with history, culture and modernity. The resulting space is a sophisticated medley of styles ranging from American Art Deco to European midcentury masters, and modern emerging artists.”

Space: Master Bedroom
Designer: Judy King
Judy King Interiors

“The soft lines of the mural wall blend beautifully with the natural vein of the fireplace stone, drawing the eye across the room. By incorporating simple, yet distinguished furnishings, the space is tied together with comfort and sophistication in mind.”

Space: Boy’s Room
Designer: Diane Durocher
Diane Durocher Interiors

“My inspiration for the design of Julian’s bedroom was imagining a nine year old boy’s curiosity about world, travel and life. The palette and furniture were selected so that the decor will grow with him. We created a timeless space for homework, reading and dreaming big dreams!”

Space: Guest Bedroom
Designer: Gail Davis
Gail Davis Designs
Space: Wet Bar
Designer: Ginny Padula
Town & Country Kitchen And Bath

“Sleek dark high-gloss stained oak cabinets paired with a dark ultra-durable matte countertop to anchor the space and become a bold element in the room. Softer earth tones in the fabrics and decorative elements in the room create a calming juxtaposition to the strong bar.”

Space: Lower Level
Designer: Donald Christiansen
Chelsea Art Group

“A pop-up art gallery showing a combination of career artists and secondary market premium works.”

Space: Mudroom
Designer: Tamu Green
Lux Pad Interiors

“The mudroom is designed to have the grandeur of a foyer, but with a more personalized and intimate feel. Motifs and materials, like the scenic wallcovering and buckwheat filled cushions (traditionally used in Japanese meditation pillows), pay homage to the heritage of the inhabits. A cheerful atmosphere provides a place to release the tension of the day while custom built-ins and closets offer space to remove more physical baggage.”

Funds raised through the purchase of tickets to ASPIRE HOUSE Princeton help provide support for aspiring design talent from underrepresented communities throughout the world in support of diversity in our industry and beyond.
