While I am very fortunate to have several beautiful furniture pieces and some amazing art that we’ve collected over the decades, even my most favorite item can’t come close to the joy and sheer happiness Josie brings me. Of course, almost everyone adores their pets, and many will attest to them being “family members.” Josie not only brings joy to me but to so many others. She has traveled with me and my partner Jeff around the globe to 15 countries and she is also a therapy dog who has volunteered with Jeff at the Bellevue Hospital children’s ward for many years. Seeing the happiness and the smiles on these wonderful kids’ faces, especially in these dark times, is worth more than any special object.
