Los Angeles-based designer Adam Hunter has announced the launch of LA CAN DO (Los Angeles Creatives Aid in Natural Disasters Organization), a non-profit aimed at helping California wildfire survivors rebuild their lives and homes. Inspired by his personal experience as a Pacific Palisades resident and witness to the devastation caused by wildfires, Hunter is rallying the design community and beyond to provide essential furnishings and support for displaced families.
“As someone who lives in the Palisades and has been affected by the fires, it’s hard to put into words the devastation we are witnessing,” Hunter shared. “My thoughts are with my own family, friends, and dear clients who have lost their homes. Now, it’s time to take action.”

The devastating wildfires in Los Angeles have displaced countless families, reducing their homes and cherished memories to ashes. LA CAN DO’s mission is to provide essential furnishings to displaced individuals, helping them recover with comfort, warmth, and dignity.
With LA CAN DO, Adam Hunter aims to rally the creative community and beyond to create meaningful change for families facing unimaginable loss. “This is about more than just replacing what was lost,” Hunter said. “It’s about helping people rebuild their lives and restore hope for the future.”
Hunter emphasizes that the smallest contributions can make the biggest difference: “We’re calling on designers, friends, and anyone with the ability to donate furniture, homewares, linens, and other essentials.”
