Concept:
“A crisp white canvas is the backdrop for the elegant minimalist design. Embellished with gold accents, the collection of furniture and fixtures selected are meant to exude as much art, beauty and boldness as the carefully curated artwork displayed throughout.”
Final Design:
“I tried to keep everything very clean, which is one of the reasons I went with white walls, and then added emphasis with some special molding and something a little more unique on the fireplace surround,” says Mannarino. “The space was meant to be more of a minimalist space with unique pieces that made it seem like it was collected over time.”
Among the standout ‘unique pieces’ are the pillows in the living room; available through Creative Touch Rugs, the velvet pillows are printed with Mannarino’s original artwork. Personal touches like these continue with the wall art and lighting, which lend to the sense of careful curation.
“I worked with American Brass & Crystal to create very unique lighting, especially over the dining room table, where we took the idea of a classic crystal chandelier and then added draping tiers of crystal strands and some chains, just to give it a little bit of an edge,” She explains. “I feel like all of the furniture throughout has a bit of an edge to it, which is what I wanted on this clean white backdrop.”
