But just who are these skilled artists?
Joe Ginsberg is an internationally recognized residential interior designer, whose background and formal training in art, sculpture, color science and photography, along with two decades of technical experience and experimentation, have allowed him to create with thoughtful ingenuity. Guided by color and light, he integrates the organic elements of nature with the texture of everyday life, producing unpretentious forms, at once functional, practical and ravishing.
Ginsberg has been involved with many shows both national and international, including Gallery Dauste in Hamburg, Laight Gallery and Barbara Walter Gallery in New York, Claudio Roucher in Paris, Galleria Baldinotti in Sicily, and Santa Reparata Grafica d’Arte and Fortman Studios in Florence. His work is in numerous private and corporate collections, including those of Michael Jackson, Coca-Cola, Christies East, the Metropolitan Opera Guild, Estée Lauder and MTV.
Catherine Weinstock’s keen eye has been a constant presence throughout her life. Years of study in Europe, as well as a multidisciplinary background in interior design, furniture restoration and fine arts, have given her the solid foundation required to create for clients all over the world. A fervent traveler, Weinstock scours the globe for artisans with whom she collaborates to produce unique and wonderful pieces for her projects. Her enduring style is based upon a love for art and design, and upon the skill with which she blends together diverse elements.
Fulya Can, equipped with a variety of management skills, continues to develop her abilities with all of her past and present experiences. Currently, Can works with the Turkish luxury design company, Lazzoni, where her extensive history in interior design is put forward in her various roles, including communications, public relations, showroom management, head design, and the creation and execution of developmental projects for the company. Above all else, Can maintains a high level of passion and energy toward her work, which ultimately produces the most efficient and creative output for her work environment.
Designer Sam Ciardi, founder and owner of the new Samuel Robert Signature Spaces Inc. in Millburn, NJ, brings his unique and extensive background in fashion design to create fresh and compelling interior spaces. After 17 successful years in the fashion industry, Ciardi now offers his distinct creative vision to a wide range of clients from his two new and distinct retail showrooms, resource libraries and studio spaces.
“My background in fashion enables me to look at a project from a different perspective,” explains Ciardi.“Even my relative ‘outsider’ status in the interior design community (stemming from my varied career path) can be an advantage – I’m less entrenched in what the popular trends for furniture, window treatments, etc. may be, and instead can really focus on doing my own thing. With less influence from the market trends, I pride myself on always evolving and keeping my designs fresh.”
Amy Manor is the founder of the Red Bank Design Center. Manor is famed for rendering clients’ personal narratives through her artisan approach to interior design and her global perspective. Her traveling to exotic destinations, such as Turkey, Italy and London, gains her constant inspiration and exposure to handmade collections crafted by artists.
