You don’t have to be a detective to recognize the success of Mystery By Design. The Designers And Builders Alliance of Long Island held its third annual gala on March 25, bringing together industry professionals, and raising funds for a local New York charity.
The event drew over 350 guests, with top designers contributing themed tablescapes to the evening’s decor.
“Casablanca” tablescape from Tlina Design
“Scooby-Doo” tablescape from KiDS NEED MoRE
“Wizard of Oz” tablescape from Casa Santi Interior Design/Patricia Fox Design
The gala, created to recognize the creative and charitable work of those in the design and building industries, raised money for KiDS NEED MoRE; a nonprofit dedicated to assisting children, families and young adults living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
In addition to the festivities, the D+BAofLI honored the following guests for their work both in the industry, and in giving back to the community:
Lifetime Achievement Award: Marilyn H. Rose, Marilyn H. Rose Interiors LTD
Design Partner of the Year: Anthony Geraci, European Granite & Marble
Volunteers of the Year: Mitch and Kim Kraeling
DBA Board of Directors Keith Mazzei, Kim & Mitch Kraeling, DBA President/Event Co-Chair Marlaina Teich, Marilyn H. Rose, DBA Vice President Ellen Baker, Event MC Robin Baron, DBA Board Karen Arpino, Anthony Geraci, Event Co-Chair George Oliphant.
“We are thrilled with the success of the event and enjoy bringing the industry’s top talent together to celebrate,” said D+BAofLI President Marlaina Teich of Marlaina Teich Designs. “Partnering with KiDS NEED MoRE fits our mission to give back to the Long Island community and we look forward to presenting them with a check to support their important work.”
